• How do I set up a showing for an apartment?
  • To schedule a showing of an apartment, please call 608-785-2616 or email corey@gvcplaza.com. 
• How do I apply for an apartment and what is the process?
  • You can apply for an apartment at either of our leasing offices located at 930 Copeland Avenue and 333 Buchner Place. You can also apply on our website. You will click “Apply Now” on the home page, and there you will see a list of the available units. From there, you will click “Apply Now” on the desired apartment. Each applicant over the age of 18 will need to fill out a separate application and pay a non-refundable application fee of $25. Application processing time is 1-2 days, we will contact you immediately when we receive the results. 
• I’m interested in several of your apartments, do I need to fill out a separate application for each apartment?
  • No, our application is valid at all of our properties. If you are not sure which apartment you would like, you can always make that decision after the application is submitted. After that, the application can be transferred to the desired apartment.  
• What lease terms do you offer?
  • We offer a lease term of 12 months. Shorter-term or month-to-month lease terms are available after your initial lease term. 
• What is your pet policy?
  • Our pet policy varies at each property. Please refer to the “Pet Policy” section on the apartment that you are interested in. If you have any questions, please contact us. 
• What utilities are included?
  • Each property will vary on utilities that are included in rent. Please refer to the “Property Details” under the apartment that you are interested in to see which exact utilities are included for that property. 
• What type of laundry is provided?
  • The type of laundry that is provided varies at each of our properties. Please refer to the “Property Details” section under the apartment that you are interested in to view the type of laundry service provided.
• Where do I pay my rent?
  • You may pay rent at either of our leasing offices located at 930 Copeland Avenue and 333 Buchner Place. If the office is closed, there is a rent drop box located outside the door. You are also welcome to pay rent through your online tenant portal. 
• What forms of payment do you accept for rent payments?     
  • Acceptable forms of payment are personal and certified checks, money orders, and online payments through your tenant portal. Payment options include ACH payments, which are a withdrawal directly from your bank account and credit cards. We do not accept cash payments. 
• Who do I call for maintenance repairs?
  • For maintenance requests we do encourage you to submit them through your online tenant portal, where you are able to track the progress of the request. You can also stop by either leasing office to fill out a paper maintenance request. 
• What if I have a maintenance emergency?
  • A maintenance emergency is defined as a water leak, no heat, lockout, etc. During business hours (M-F, 9-5) call the office at 608-785-2616. After hours and on the weekends, please call 608-385-7338. For fire, police or medical emergencies, call 911.
• What if I am locked out of my apartment or I lose my keys?
  • If you are locked out of your apartment or lose your keys to your apartment during office hours, please contact the office and we will either provide a new set of keys or provide access to your apartment. After our business hours, you will contact the emergency maintenance phone number and there will be a fee for the lockout. There will also be a fee to replace any lost keys. The details of the fees can be found in your leasing paperwork. 
• How do I give my notice if I am moving out?
  • In your lease agreement it states, “Whether your lease is expiring or not, tenant must give a written 28-day notice prior to vacating or forfeit the security deposit.” You are welcome to give written notice at either leasing office or email the notice to corey@gvcplaza.com. 
• What is your move out process?
  • Prior to moving out, you must provide written notice to vacate at least 28-days in advance. On the written notice please include, name, address and the date you intend to vacate. Please provide a forwarding address that your moveout paperwork and deposit (if returned) can be sent to. Upon vacating, contact the appropriate company to transfer the utilities out of your name. Lastly, please turn in keys to either leasing office with your name and address included.  
• When will I get my security deposit refund check?
  • Security deposit refund checks along with the move out paperwork including the itemization of any charges will be mailed within 21 days of move-out to the forwarding address provided.
